Conduit Road appears to have permanently closed.

5125 Macarthur Boulevard, NW previously home to Salt Pepper Thanks to CK and everyone else who messaged us (sorry for the delay in posting): Conduit Road closed 3 weeks ago. Nice atmosphere, decent food, but not surprised. I don’t they had a lot of experience and it kind of showed in service. Bummer. Another reader wrote: Said that the August holiday closing has morphed into a permanent closure, per my friend s conversation with the owner. It s a tough location to work. The street frontage is almost too subtle, and I m sure the building owners don t allow more overt signage. Updates when we learn what becomes of the space.
